Our story

Dominic (aka dominic_hunts) grew up in a family of teachers, but his true passion was discovered at the age of seven, on an old rustic bridge in Kedah, Malaysia. That day, he reeled in his very first catch—a small tripod fish—using the simplest of setups: a tiny hook and a split shot. That moment sparked a lifelong love for fishing.

Fast forward to late 2021, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dominic found himself fishing regularly at Bedok Jetty, seeking a break from the city's bustle. While there, he noticed many struggling with their setups, misusing their rods, and often leaving empty-handed. Yet, with just a basic setup, he was landing fish after fish. Curious anglers started approaching him, eager to learn his techniques. What started as casual advice soon turned into structured lessons, and he realized that while fishing was a niche, quality learning resources were scattered and limited.

Determined to bridge this gap, Dominic launched his own fishing business from scratch—offering jetty fishing classes, freshwater fishing sessions, and pond fishing lessons. As word spread, more clients began requesting bigger challenges, asking him to take them out on kayaks and boats.

As the world emerged from the pandemic, interest in jetty and freshwater fishing waned, but the demand for kayak fishing soared. Recognizing this, Dominic adapted his company’s direction to specialize in kayak fishing rentals, guided kayak fishing tours for beginners and aspiring anglers, and competitive kayak fishing tournaments for seasoned fishers. This demand led him to build up an entire fleet of kayaks, shifting the business focus toward guided kayak fishing tours. He also introduced small-group boat fishing lessons for those seeking a different kind of adventure.

For Dominic, fishing isn’t just a sport—it’s an experience meant for everyone, regardless of age, gender, or background. His belief in making fishing accessible to all lives on through the company's slogan:

#AnglingForEveryone
